In July, Forbes released an article titled “America’s Fastest-Growing Suburbs”, which ranked the top 100 fastest-growing suburbs in the nation. Five cities from Collin County found in the list include: Frisco (7th), Wylie (8th), McKinney (13th), Sachse (22nd), and Allen (33rd). As part of our 2007 Interlocal Agreement with the City of Wylie, the GIS Department is analyzing population growth within the Wylie Fire Department. A portion of the extensive population analysis we have conducted, this month’s map shows population increase by WYFD call box from 2000 to 2007 as a three-dimensional extrusion.
