Statement to the Media

(McKinney, TX) – Collin County District Attorney John Roach has released the following statement:

“It is my understanding that Dallas County District Attorney Bill Hill has decided to cancel the deputations of Chris Milner, Gail Falco and Marty Leyko as assistant district attorneys for Dallas County regarding the investigations of Sheriff Bowles and others, because he intends to turn the matter over to federal authorities.”

“As the Dallas County District Attorney, only Mr. Hill has the authority to make these decisions and how he wants to proceed.”

“I am glad that my office was able to be of assistance to Mr. Hill. I am sure that when Collin County requires a special prosecutor, Mr. Hill will do this for us.”

“I want to thank Collin County’s special prosecutors team for their work in this investigation.”
